Welcome to First Friends Preschool. I am a mother of 5 children who has been caring for little ones in a school on my property since 2006. I started my school when I realised that the quality of baby care in our area was virtually non-existent. I decided to stay at home and look after my own babies and slowly the word got out and has led to the school I have today.

I have created this website to try and eliminate any misunderstandings. It is hard to remember to tell every parent every rule and every procedure when we first meet. I have endeavoured to cover everything I could think of from my childcare philosophies to business policies and expectations.

Please read through this information carefully, and feel free to discuss with me any questions that you may have.

My goal is that all the children who are in our care have a fun day where they learn through play whilst building their confidence, skills and making new friends. I want your child to feel like this is their second home, to feel safe and comfortable here.
I will provide them with lots of love and attention, along with fun daily activities to help them learn and grow.

I strive to teach the children to respect themselves and each other.
I believe children should have a safe and happy environment in which to grow and explore.

I do not allow hitting, biting, yelling, and namecalling at any time.
Children will be encouraged through positive reinforcement to be nice to their friends, and I will encourage all the children to treat each other and the school with respect.

I provide a structured daily programme with an emphasis on creative art. We also work on “school readiness” through a morning programme from the age of 3 years.

Our classes include daily craft, songs, stories, circle time and so much more. We also enjoy being outside.

I try to encourage the kids to help keep their toys picked up when they are done playing.

We do a lot of funactivities each day and some of them can be messy (such as painting).

So please send your child in play clothes which you do not mind them getting dirty.
